Hello, today I'm going to walk you through the basic functions of the application, and how they relate to the KubeOne. I will be using the Android application, however most features are identical on iOS.
Upon initial installation, you will be greeted with this screen:
Go ahead and accept all permissions, as they all relate to the KubeOne's usability.
You will then come across this screen:
If you own an AugustHaus device, select Yes. If you do not, you will be brought to the store page.
After selecting yes, go ahead and fill out your information; you will be prompted to scan or enter your Kube's individual QR code supplied to you in your email. If you have lost this code please contact a member of the Augusthaus staff and we will gladly send you the code.
You have now successfully connected your device to the Kubeone! Congratulations!
You will now be greeted by the Lighting screen:
On this page, you control the lighting of your KubeOne. The Lightbulb slider on the left controls the speed of the lights on your unit, with 1 (the bottom) being the fastest and 10 (the top) being the slowest.
The sun slider to the direct right of the Lightbulb slider controls the brightness of the LEDs on your Kubeone device.
To the right of the sun slider, you will see four options: Solid (Transitions all LEDs according to the Lightbulb slider), Random (The slider directly below controls the number of LEDs that change at random), Temperature (The lights will change based on your heat up/cool down), and lastly Palette (You may choose from a nearly infinite amount of colors for your Kubeone to display).
On the bottom left of the main screen, you will see four icons, a light bulb, a fire icon, a chart icon, and a shopping icon. These bring you to the Lighting screen, the Temperature Controls screen, the live chart, and the store, respectively. In the image below, I am currently on the live chart, hence why the icon is illuminated.
Temperature Controls:
You will be greeted with this screen when selecting the Temperature controls after the initial installation.
To the left, you have the Auto-off timer. This is set in minutes, and will automatically disable the heating element after the seleced period of time.
To the right of the Auto-off timer, you have your temperature selection. You may either drag the slider to select your temperature, or touch the number on top of the slider to input your desired temperature. To the top right you can see the current temperature of your coil, as well as the amount of time before the heaing element is turned off by the Auto-off timer.
To the right of the screen, you will see a flame icon, a lock icon, and a caution icon. These activate your heating element, disable the physical button on your Kubeone, or activate cleaning mode, respectively.
Live chart:
This chart displays the Quartz temperature in yellow, the Coil temperature in green, and the Set Temperature in red. To the bottom right of the screen you will see a Yellow Drop icon. This is used to activate Glob modes. There is a seperate thread for using Glob modes, as every user may enjoy their Kube differently.
Reporting a problem:
On the temperature screen, you will see a Bluetooth icon to the bottom right:
If you are on Android, press and hold the icon and continue to send the email. The adressee field will be automatically populated.
If you are on iOS, double tap the icon and continue to send the email. The adressee field will be automatically populated.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask below. Thank you!

Hey not to be a pain in the ass but how many watts does my kubeone draw off of a wall plug?
I'd like to point out that those are my ONLY criticisms, and they are all minor to me. Thanks for making and supporting an awesome tool. I went from torch directly to the KubeOne after visiting a friend with a less sophisticated device. It's been a true help.
Couple of things I wonder about. On Android, the temp up arrow will adjust one degree. Then do nothing. Easy work around, use slider, but it'd be nice if it worked. A little more space between the arrows and sliders would be nice (pre-medication, hands can be shaky) Making the temps and times red on the dark background would make it easier. Being able to calibrate temps to measured would be sweet. Also, interesting quirk: it doesn't like to be left set to 439°F. <lol
I love my KubeOne. Thanks August, and hi Sonny!
I’d love to see the mentioned instructions on glob modes. I’ve been trying to find more info on how to use them.
I just got the kube today and i put the code in, sent the email. The app shows that the device is there, but when i try to change the lights, temp, exc. It pops up an error message that reads the decive has disconnected. Any help is appreciated. Im also on android
